Celebration time!
I got the job at CAMH. Huzzah!
I'll have to juggle my work schedule at Bay St. to accomodate it, but they're pretty cool about that. It's nice to have a boss (bosses, really) who are supportive of me, even if it means seeing less of me. They truly rock.
The start date at CAMH is Nov 8., which feels crazy soon. But it's been a year since I graduated and I've been looking for something relevant to my academic work since then. The project sounds important and exciting. And if it works out it may stretch into three years instead of one.
And it pays money. I'm hoping to dump every cent I make onto my loans. I'm starting at the bottom of their pay scale, because they don't count unpaid work when setting salary. But even so, it's a great start for me, career-wise.
