weekend of fun
my goodness i haven't giggled as much as i did this weekend in a very long time!
friday i went to happy hour with co-workers, we started at macayos then kept going all night, we went to shady's next then to glam. by about 11 i was pretty close to gone. i thought it would be a good idea to walk from shady's to glam... it's not that far but too far to walk in the heat while intoxicated, thank goodness my friend insisted on driving me. somewhere in between i lost my debit card, it might be at glam...
saturday we woke up at the crack of dawn to get ready for our day on the lake. paul & hilary picked us up at 6:30 and we drove up to hilary's parents house in cave creek. we slathered on the sunscreen, loaded up the boat and headed to bartlett lake. it was hot out but it felt much cooler once we were on the water. i got to be first to be dragged behind the boat on the tube. i was slightly high so i had a ridiculous amount of trouble getting my life vest on. jon actually had to help me get it buckled because i was laughing so hard i couldn't function. we had lunch, swam, all had a turn on the tube and finally headed in around 3:30. i don't think jon or i realized how burnt we were until we got inside the truck. i'm mostly ok other then my back, jon's head and shoulders are bright pink! poor guy.
tuesday my dad's best friend is gonna be in town with his son. i haven't seen his son since i was in highschool! it's gonna be good times.
next friday is the closing party for glam *tear*
at first i was indifferent about it closing but now i'm really kinda bummed. its going to be hard to find something to do on friday nights that is fun, has good atmosphere and music but doesn't cost a small fortune for cover + drinks.
saturday we fly to EDC! sunday morning we fly home.
i am sooooo fucking excited!
