Mild weather en route,
only moderate traffic,
makes for a nice trip.

Uneventful drive.
For the first time in nine days,
back in my own home.

Microwaved dinner,
watched a big batch of TiVo.
Time to hit the net.

Some day I must drive
Interstate Five-Seven-Five
just to say I did.

G.I. tract is calm,
no bouts since yesterday noon.
Today: muscle cramps.

Morphing symptoms are
scarcely enough to hope for
travel tomorrow.

Post-Yule hangover,
aftermath of stuffed peppers.
Where's my antacid?

The stores are all filled
for a day of exchanges.
Merry Boxing Day!

Relatives? Dozens.
Big, heavy meals? Numerous.
Vacation needed!

I'm feeling spectacularly foolish. I tried to whip up a congratulatory haiku this afternoon, and miscounted the syllables in chanceoperation. D'oh.

Counting syllables
should not be so difficult.
