I'm really close with Dolphin Whiskers, of the Lower Back Tattoo Collective. She let me know about an upcoming art show that she and the rest of the Collective have been curating. Ya'll probably know that I sit on the Board of Lawndale Art Center here in Houston. Lawndale's historic Art Deco building went through an extensive renovation in 2004-2005, which received a Golden Brick Award from the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance in January. 1. Python v. Gator:"Alligators have clashed with non-native pythons before in Everglades National Park. But when a 6-foot gator tangled with a 13-foot python recently, the result wasn't pretty.
   
   The snake apparently tried to swallow the gator whole -- and then exploded. Scientists stumbled upon the gory remains last week.

I've talked quite a bit about the Inversion piece over at the Art League. I think it's one of the most interesting and dynamic pieces of art in Houston. I've never seen a piece of art connect with so many people.
