Went with Milla, John, and Kate to see Five Finger Death Punch at Ram's Head Live on 11/21/2011. Hatebreed and All that Remains opened for them, along with some band called Rains.

We got there in time to hear some of Rains. I didn't hear anything distinctive and was sure we didn't miss anything as we use the lavatories and checked the merch booths. ( Read more... )

Milla and I went to see Anthrax at the Fillmore. we got to Silver Spring around 6:30, and saw a line of people snaking around the block!!! waiting the the cold. I noticed doors were at 7PM and it was like 6:30... We bought tickets and looked for food. We wanted to go to the Moroccan place, but apparently it moved. Went with John to see ANVIL on a rainy Wednesday night at JAXX. I was on the fence, thinking I should go home and rest (was feeling a bit sickly. But then I mentioned it to Johnny and he was like havign a rough day and was like Sure lets go fucking metttaaaaaaaaaaaaal!!!)

Went to see SABATON last night at JAXX. (local female fronted power-ish) A SOUND OF THUNDER opened for them. About the same amount of people that showed up for FIREWIND last week- maybe a few more. This was the last night of the tour for SABATON

Went to see Yngwie J. Malmsteen at the new Fillmore in
Silver Spring, MD last night. Was a pretty nice, clean, spacious venue.
It was pretty crowded, but the balcony was not open. Crowded, but not
PACKED to the brim. Def several hundred people- I don't know the
capacity of the venue but it was a well attended show.

Went with my brother to the State Theater in VA to see The Blue Oyster Cult. There was an opening band- Midnight Hike. I thought they were not very good. Didn't really catch any song names, but a lot of them sounded the same...

Went to see FIREWIND at JAXX. It was not very well attended. Maybe a little more than 50
people (like the Rhinobucket show I went to at JAXX not too long ago). I got there a bit too early, and some band called REPLICANT was on...a local band I think? I listened to one or two songs and decided I would sit in the back a bit...
