Mostly, goddamnit, OW. Apparently I worked harder on that fennel-rye than I thought - my right arm is stiff from the shoulder down and my hand is cramping.  Just made cinnamon rolls (with only a few alterations) from Penzey's, their Grandma Moog's Cinnamon Rolls. Conclusion: There Are No Shortcuts For Good Cinnamon Rolls. You can get something, but it ain't a cinnamon roll unless it's a yeasty little bugger and takes hours to get the dough just right. Baking powder cinnamon rolls will never be okay.  My ultimate comfort food is beef-and-greens and gingerbread. I can give you an exact recipe for the gingerbread, but beef-and-greens is... a little less precise. For a euphemism.
