Sammy and I have found a new fun thing to do. Many of you know how much he enjoys jumping and singing silly songs with me, but we've now found that the perfect coda to one of these sessions is for me to body slam him on the bed over and over, yelling "Smash!" each time. He laughs hysterically, just loving it.

Kids are still sick.   Sammy's cut down the vomiting to only once a day, which is nice.   Usually it's of the projectile variety, but a couple days ago, toward the end of dinner while in his highchair, he opened his mouth in a big "O" and had this slow motion solid vomit episode.   I'd never seen extruded vomit before; it was like he was one of ( Read more... )

It's 67F outside, and though it's starting to cloud over, still just a scrumptiously beautiful wannabe-spring day. Even though Sam is retching and has an ear infection, I think an afternoon at the park is indicated - it'll help his cabin fever, at any rate, if not the other one ( Read more... )

We got family pictures taken at Grand Prairie today.   Grand Prairie is the sorta-hip, upscale new mall on the NW side of Peoria which some developer unfortunately decided to make an outdoor mall.   Outdoor malls in So Cal are one thing (South Coast, Newport Plaza, ah the memories)...  Outdoor malls in the Midwest (with names like Grand Prairie ( Read more... )
