During an excellent party chez asakiyume, there was a moment when csecooney looked up a YouTube documentary on the baby-shoe bronzing process, in order to satisfy everyone's curiosity.

Afterward, I asked people to come up with subjects for inappropriate YouTube tutorials.  These are some of the options we invented:

Green Eggs and Wasteland

I had an excellent time at the Tempest party, and I think the guests enjoyed themselves as well.  My thanks to all who participated.  Also, yesterday, I found out that my poem "The Sisters," written for sovay, will appear in Mythic Delirium.  Altogether a wonderful day.

Apart from a slight cold, I am quite well.  I splurged just now by ordering spicy takeout, which makes me feel better when I'm sore and congested.  I've got to go out and get it in a few minutes.

I have a temporary job painting houses with my landlady and neighbors.  That'll tide me over for the moment.

My housemate and her boyfriend and I all cooked tonight and had supper together.  It was very good fun; I hope we have a chance to do it again before the semester is over.  Back in January, she and I never used to hang out, but he's put her in the habit of spending more time here.  Mostly cooking.  She dotes on him and cooks him huge meals.  It's a ( Read more... )
