Well, I'm out of work again, have been since December. And I can't find anything decent that will hire me. Either my resume is blown off, or I don't get past the interview, or the job is dodgy crap (yay for scammy magazine phone work) or a fake. I'm broke, so learning new skills offered in classes is out. Hello, fellow unemployed strangers on LJ. I punched "job hunting" into the interests filter because I'm on my third month of unemployment and getting really depressed, and misery loves company, so here I am. This is long, and if you read all of it, you deserve a medal. T__T

Hey there, guys! So, I posted to/joined this community awhile back because my boyfriend got laid off....and now, it's my turn, apparently. For those of us getting unemployment at the moment (which is probably, like, everyone here... lol) has the state where you are drawing from given you your tax information yet so you can fill out your 1099G's? Mine hasn't and I wish they hurry it up because I want to file my taxes!

So I've been on unemployment for more than a month now. I've been checking the courses that my state makes available, and I've come to the conclusion that I'm really unhappy with the selection. There are many courses devoted to basic email, basic word processing, etc. along with interview and resume-writing courses. But I already know how to use ( Read more... )
