Well, I am now, as of yesterday, officially a quarter of a century old. My birthday was pretty good overall, although I didn't really do anything to celebrate (it's hard to do so when it's mid-week). I think Marcus is taking me out to dinner tonight though! It's always interesting on my birthday to see who actually remembers it. This year brought several surprises in that department...I got birthday emails/messages/facebook wall posts from a few people I wasn't sure would remember or didn't really expect to hear from anyway...and there were also a few people I was very surprised NOT to hear from. To be honest, I'm pretty disappointed in those people...one in particular, who spent a good chunk of my time last night asking me questions to help plan for HER birthday party tomorrow night (her birthday is tomorrow, to be fair, but I didn't even get a "happy birthday" from her during the entire conversation!). It's interesting.
On a happier note, Marcus and I have been doing better since I last wrote. I think it's partially because I'm about 90% sure I'm PMSing, so my mood is fluctuating like crazy, but I'm also more snuggly and stuff than usual. And I'm SOOOOOOOO looking forward to winter break! I need a vacation SO badly, but also, I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone up in the DC area, most of whom I haven't seen in way too long!
Switching gears for a minute, I'm also extremely happy about the Javier Vazquez deal the Braves just made! I'm amazed that they were able to get such a good pitcher without having to give up any major marquee players in return! Frank Wren is definitely on my good list right now, but let's just hope he doesn't go and do anything stupid :-P Only time will tell.
Shoutout and major kudos to my awesome cousin Bryan, who got accepted to Penn State yesterday! I'm so proud...and I also feel old that he's starting college next year! Seems like it was just yesterday that I told him I wouldn't play Power Rangers with him and his friend because "it's not nice to shoot people" (he was 5, lol, hey, I tried!). Geez, I'm such an old fart now, lol ;)
Anywho, I need to get back to pretending to be working :-P Next week is Marcus's last week of crazy schedule for the semester, starting the week after that, he'll be working more normal hours (Monday-Friday 9-6) for a few weeks, which will be really nice, cuz I'll actually get to SEE him every once in a while! And hopefully it will give us more time to work on our relationship, and for me to feel better about things.
I'm very interested to see what the next few weeks bring. They have a lot of potential...but that's a dangerous word, isn't it? So we'll see what happens.
