So I found out recently that at least one person outside of the LJ community has been reading my livejournal that I didn't know about (hi Rachel!)! I think that's really cool...I never expect that anyone actually reads my crazy rants, lol ;) But it also kind of frustrates me, because the entries that I feel show my true self the most, the ones that I'd love for most people to be able to see...are the ones that I've had to make friends only (which, of course, means that anyone who reads this who doesn't have a livejournal account and/or isn't friends with me on livejournal can't read them). I try my best to keep this journal as open as possible, since most of my friends don't have livejournal, and I want them to be able to read these entries if they choose. But when it comes to certain topics, I worry that certain people will take them the wrong way, or misinterpret them in such a way that it could cause major problems...and I just feel it's not worth that risk. With that being said, I really want to encourage anyone who does read this journal to ask me if you'd like to see the friends only entries. I can't make it so they're visible to you on here unless you have an account and are willing to friend me, but I CAN copy and paste them and email them to you (and I have already done this for several people in the past). I just wanted to remind everyone that just because I made an entry friends only doesn't mean I don't want you to read it, it's really just so a few specific people don't read it!
Moving on...
Marcus finally got a livejournal, haha. Apparently I rubbed off on him! ;) He's so cute, lol. I'm hoping that he'll actually keep up with writing in it...I'd love to read his thoughts and stuff. Not that he doesn't talk to me about everything, but I'm so much more a visual person, I think I just absorb it and remember it better if I read it than if I hear it.
Speaking of Marcus, yesterday was his last working Sunday of the semester. So at least for the next few weeks, we will actually have normal (2-day) weekends every week! I think that'll be really good for us, having more than one consecutive day that we get to spend entirely together. He's also been job searching, and he actually has an interview today for a job, so we'll see how that goes.
At this point, I'm really just holding on until winter break. I don't think anything short of a real, nice, long vacation is going to help me at this point, so for the next 2 and a half weeks or so, I'm just doing my best to get by. I can't see past winter break right now, either, so I have no idea what will happen when it's over, but for now, it's my goal and my endpoint, my light at the end of the tunnel, and I just want to get there.
Charlie Brown Christmas is on tonight, yay! While no tv special holds quite the same status as Rudolph in my heart, Charlie Brown Christmas is a close second! Man, I love those Peanuts kids! And, despite being Jewish, I LOVE Christmas music, which the special is full of, of course! I love the message it sends out...the REAL meaning of the holidays...and I think that can be further expanded, too. It's not just the real meaning of the holidays. It's the real meaning of LIFE. It is my hope that EVERYONE in the world will watch Rudolph AND Charlie Brown Christmas...I feel like the world would be such a better place if only we could all understand the beautiful messages of these two tv specials.
Anyway, I should get to work (since I actually HAVE some work to do today, for once). I leave you with my updated countdowns, of course!
