Poems! I have read a couple lately that have just been incredible. The first one is a gorgeous little piece about loving life no matter what; the second, a lovely twist on the importance of words when you love someone; the third, a passionate defense and ode to gay men from a straight woman. All worth your time. :-)

I posted this a couple of years ago for Father's Day, but it bears repeating/rereading as I love it so. Guy is one of my favourite fantasy authors and this is from his poetry volume, Beyond This Dark House. It's a nostalgic piece about his father and growing up, and it makes me cry in the best kind of way. :)

I had a Very Good Day.
