I started going through garb for Panteria next weekend, because I knew some of it wanted mending. I could actually only find one smock that needed fixing (I'd practically ripped the gusset out, because the seam allowances were too small), and the rest is actually all set, if wrinkly. The embroidery is done. I guess now I pull out the guide stitches, and then I can sew it onto the cloak itself.

It's almost anti-climactic. I mean, a project this big, there should balloons and cake and ice cream, and maybe silly hats.

Remember those shoes I mentioned the other day? They should be delivered tomorrow. Looks like the merchant's warehouse is in Massachusetts. That's very cool; maybe I'll wear them for Coronation, if they're comfortable. Though my period shoes are comfy, now that I have felted wool insoles. I guess we'll see ( Read more... )

I got an order of beads in today for my Twelfth Night project. I swear, I was just going to look at them, but as soon as I opened the box and sat down at my table, I had to start playing with them. I was more or less productive today. I fixed the bead swag that I tried to restring last night, and I think it actually came out a little prettier. I added some amber beads that I bought at Pennsic and got rid of the amber chips that I never liked that much.
