Ed died about half an hour ago. His daughter and ex-wife were out discussing the memorial service. But the nurse was with him, and he's breathing just basically got slower and softer and finally just stopped. Mom thinks he wouldn't have wanted to burden them with his death moments anyhow.
Looks like Eddie is on his final legs. He was hospitalized on Thursday. Well the hospice care at the hospital anyhow. He can no longer speak. They don't know about his eyesight, but they think he can still hear. Mom thinks it will only be a couple days more.
Well, turns out cousin Ed does want treatment for his brain tumor. Only there isn't anything more they are willing to do. Basically the doctor told them to find a good nursing home for the duration

My's cousin Ed is hospitalized. His brain tumor is back for the third time. Seems it's having a ball in that great big void from the previous surgeries. Lots of space to grow

Mom called. Her cousin Ed is a granddad. His youngest daughter Natalie had her baby. Six pounds. Little guy had his cord wrapped around his neck, so he'll be spending the night in hospital. Nat lives somewhere in Great Britain. She had the baby at home. They haven't named him yet

So after doing fuck nothing all day, I did manage to make mashed potatoes to include with dinner yesterday. Mom came over about five, and I just about had everything ready. She was very nice and decided we didn't need to go eat outside. So I dredged up a breakfast tray, put something under her feet to raise them up for a flat lap. We had potatoes,
