I forgot...

My mom's birthday was on Friday. We have a whole bunch of family with early October (like 4, 5, 6, February must have been damn boring for their folks) birthdays. Mom, her twin (obviously), their brother Les, and of course cousin Ed.

And you know what Ed's present to mom? And to himself? His brain tumor has shrunk. The experimental treatment is working. Mom was so elated. She was the first person he told (after his daughter, who was of course in the exam with him).

We (Mom, Dad, Clarke and I) took mom out for vietnamese food. Clarke got her a wire egg basket in a chicken design. I had given her a present the day before. A kumihimo disk (japanese braiding style). She's doing a craft show in December at work, and I think she'll be doing some braids for that. Make great badge holders, I should suggest that to mom. Dad of course bought us dinner. ::grin:: and Coldstone creamery. I wasn't impressed with the icecream. Neither was mom. But it was a nice evening.

I should email Ed and wish him a happy birthday and merry shrinkage. ::snork:: let him take it as he will. Bwahahha.

cancer, mom
