Foxes barking in the back yard again tonight.  Way too dark and too late to see them, but with no music on and no fans running, I could hear them clearly.  Always a great sound to me, that rasping noise that sounds like a dog with a sore throat.

I went to Borders after work and got about 2000 words written.  I'm still way over 10k behind on the getyourwordsout challenge, but at least I wrote tonight and liked what I wrote.

Apparently I've been lying to myself and everyone else.  I've been saying that my goal for getyourwordsout was the Basic level 200,000 words.  One of the mods just reminded me that I pledged at the Moderate level which is 250,000 words.  It's not a huge difference (really, that extra 50k equals NaNoWriMo, if I think about it that way), but it is a sort of slap ( Read more... )
