I just got back yesterday from a short three-day jaunt in Zion National Park with my mom. She paid for the hotel and all. I brought the wrong shoes: they wore blisters in my little toes on the first day, so I could wear naught but flip-flops the rest of the time. I went to the doctor again today after a blood test revealed that I have a chronic Epstein-Barr virus infection. That's the virus that causes mononucleosis in its acute manifestation. He gave me an anti-viral medication, so we'll see if that does any good.

I went to the open house thingy at the Fibromyalgia and Fatigue Center. There were about 15 people there besides myself. I found out that besides the $1000+ in office fees, there are about $4700 in lab fees. (They draw 30 vials of blood on the first visit.) I went and cashed my disability check as usual, then a few days later looked at my bank account online and saw that they had withdrawn that transaction and replaced it with a new deposit, only one-third the amount.
