RL News/Update
Big news, kids. A few misc updates first -
1) Sadly, the little snake I was trying to save passed away. He had a skull fracture, and it just wasn't in the cards. We tried, though.
2) I still have jewelry for cheap in this post, if anyone needs moderately expensive jewelry for cheap.
3) Work continues to suck. Following this post, we now have new memos stating that second strikes will be issued soon and politely reminding us that our work is a 'free-will' environment, meaning we can quit any time we want or they can let us go any time they want. 2 MORE people put in their 2-week notices today. (If you can't see that first post, sorry. It must be locked or else ... I ... could ... get ... fired? BRB, UNLOCKING POST.)

But the big news is 5) a follow up from this post.
As of today, I am officially a Fashion Design student. It is a complete 180 from my Zoo Animal Technology degree, but due to Life being what it was, I ended up going from there to here, and I'm SO READY.
Goodbye, dead-end jobs with no benefits past getting to sometimes pet something cute and fuzzy. Goodbye, no chance in hell of ever working for myself. Goodbye, health problems and dander allergies.
Hello classwork and sketching and getting to Create Things and call it homework. Heh.
I'm totally overwhelmed just at the moment by the insane amount of money I just promised to one day return to a bunch of people I've never met that I don't currently have ... (Seriously, how does the government DO it!? O.o) but mostly I'm just relieved to finally be DOING something about getting out of the stagnant cesspool that has been my life. I couldn't be doing this without my Dad, who is VERY generously paying what my student loans will not cover so that I get to keep having a roof over my head to study under, or my husband, who is waaaay out of his comfort zone right now but seems to be stepping up to the plate, or my Mom, who won't. Stop. Calling me. Lol.
But actually, mostly? I could never have done it if it weren't for you. That's right, you. Everybody who encouraged me and pushed me told me I should do this and believed in me and dragged me (sometimes kicking and screaming) down the road to here, thanks. You'll never know how much you mean to me - hell, I'LL probably never realize how much you mean to me either, it seems like it just is more and more every day. All of y'all are awesome, and I'm glad I stumbled upon this tiny thing called fandom and let it eat my life, because without it, my creativity and spirit would probably have been dragged out back and shot by now, never to be seen again. GIANT SQUISHY HUGS FOR YOU ALL. *HUGS*
Also, hey blacklid : If I did have a sister, she wouldn't be half as big of a pain in the ass as you, but I would be in a mental hospital somewhere banging my head against the wall. So you win. Thanks for helping give me wings and shove me off the cliff. I won't let you down. :)
