I had her call her doctor, and she was asked to come into the birthing center for monitoring. Stayed there for a little over two hours. We just got home. Nothing shaking yet... it was, as we suspected, just the plug having dislodged itself. So, no baby just yet ( Read more... )

Tasha had an appointment today. Doc says she's dilated to 4cms already, and the baby's head can be felt sitting at the mouth of the cervix... which is a little alarming. Tasha hasn't had much of a bout with contractions yet, leading us to believe that she may be one of those "silent laborers".

Today, Tasha went to a birthday party for her brother, Christopher. Apparently, her dad, Chris, made it a point to not acknowledge her. She told me that at the end of the party, when Chris left for work, he told Christopher he loved him, but didn't say a thing to her.

He came through the surgery without any problems, and was released later in the afternoon. The surgeons removed a small (described as about the size of a pop bottle cap) tumor on his bladder. They still need to run tests on the tumor to confirm if it's cancer or not. And we should know within the week ( Read more... )

Well, Rich and I will be heading north to Muskegon early tomorrow morning. His grandpa is going in for surgery to have a tumor removed. It's unknown at this point if it's cancerous or not. He's not in the best of health otherwise, either. So, having him go under to have traumatic things done to his body is a little frightening ( Read more... )
