Life is like...

A bundle of nervous tension.

Tasha is living with me full-time, now. Dad kicked her out last weekend. This makes finding larger living quarters an absolute must, whether it be to buy or to rent. Right now I don't care. Just need something now. We have an application in for a two story house rental about a half mile east of us. Neighborhood is slightly better. Not what I'd hope for, but better than what we're living in presently. Keeping my fingers crossed for that one.

Her due date is June 9th, by the way... which means, if she decides to keep the baby I'll be a grandmother before the age of 35. *sheesh*

She and the baby's father have talked things over and reconciled; they're back together again. He does seem to be happy with the idea of becoming a father, and raising the child with Tasha. However, the fact that neither have done much to pursue either work or education does not make me happy. They don't understand how serious of a situation this is. I've tried gently nudging them about the subject, about the importance of having these things. But I don't think I'm getting across very well.

That's one end of my spectrum. Here's the other!

The Mutemath concert with my sis was utterly awesome! Got tons of pictures from the show, which are over at my Facebook. From previous shows, I came away with drumsticks left over by the drummer, Darren. This time, I got Paul's towel... and I got to meet Darren, who signed the towel for me! :D Fantastic, truly memorable experience!

Now, I'm eyeing the U2 show in East Lansing for next year. I have funds set aside for tickets, for whenever they get around to posting the sales for that date... I suspect it'll be next week for the pre-sales. I've got mental goosebumps for it. It's driving me mad. I want to see them again!

We have another kitty. Solid gray, except for a few white hairs on his chest. Rich - of all people, Rich - brought him home a few weeks ago. The cat was a stray hanging around his workplace, and after seeing him there repeatedly, Rich showed up with him one day, dropped him off to me, and then went back to work. He's a little darling... and he's a permanent resident. His name is Soot. *HA*

We also have a snake now, too. Rich and I caved a little over a month ago and bought a pretty little corn snake. Named him Shoestring, a suggestion from one of my bosses. His first molted skin measured around 15 inches, and he's on the verge of molting again. He's been eating two 'pinkie' mice every five days, and he's already grown noticeably. I'm anxious to see how much more soon.

And... that's the current snapshot of my life. Some good, some bad, some *ugh*. But hey, I'm still breathing, still walking, still working, and still have things I can look forward to. So all in all, I can't complain... not until June, anyway...
