Watched 'District 9' last night: awesome! I love that this is not Hollywood! It's set in South Africa and is so well done that I just have to say how brilliant I thought it was. At first I wasn't so comfortable with the mockumentary style, as it's not my favourite thing, but it just went on to become such a nicely understated and better movie than ( Read more... )

Watched this on dvd the other morning in my sickbed. The two gay leads were very nice, I must say, and there were some lovely scenes with them. I love how Italian families seem to be; although I'm sure it must be quite stifling at times, they are wonderfully family-oriented. Saw this movie yesterday. Beautiful angel, not nearly enough gayness for my liking, although there was one flight/fight scene between Xas and Sobran that was intriguing and slashy. Several embraces and one aborted kiss. The story is very watered down/altered from the book, so if you've read that you may be disappointed as I was, but if you haven ( Read more... )
