Oyster Farmer

Because the head hamster is once again very slack, no reviews have been posted in aeons. Here's a quickie:

Watched 'Oyster Farmer' last night - one of Alex O'Lachlan's (as he was billed in it) early movies. It's an Aussie film, natch, and I really enjoyed it. I was only watching it because Alex was in it, but in all truth, it was a really good little film. I'd reccommend it to anyone who'd like to see a young Alex starting out in his career. One word of warning if you're an animal lover - a dog dies in it (but in a kind of amusing twist that I didn't find too upsetting despite the not-very-nice aspect of it). It's humorous, but in a nicely understated 'Aussie blokey' kind of way with some wonderfully dramatic overtones; there's also a nice sense of family in it, and the characters are all rather awesome. Bonus: you get to see some near-naked Alex, and although he isn't as 'built' in this as he is now, he's still hot (and yes, the tattoos are that old, and it includes a pretty good view of the tramp-stamp at one point). Anyway: two thumbs up! ;-)

If you lovely hamster members have any films you'd like to review, either quickly like this or in greater detail, now would be a good time for a post here! ;-)
