Lasts time I posted, Daniel was going for an interview the next day. He got the job. He is working for Shelburn Roasting Company, driving, baking, and sometimes pulling barista shifts. Been doing much better lately. Went to an SGI district meeting last Thursday, and as I sat there, chanting with fellow Buddhists and guests, I reawakened to responsibility - for my life, for my mission, and to my identity as a Bodhisattva of the Earth. Grr. I want  a job. And a place to live in for the next couple years. I want too much. Things really are going well, but I have some anxiety around the near future: where to work, where to live, how to fund study abroad, what this summer is actually going to be like, etc etc. And some of the same old stuff, like I want to have a house and grow corn ( Read more... )

I slept poorly due to grief over the death of Professor Julie Graham and anxiety around school. Got out of bed and was consoled by the Gohonzon and Sensei's guidance. I love weekends. Today was both productive and pleasurable. I am grateful for Daniel and all the amazing people in my life. I am seeing great benefit from Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. Now I must be vigilant and continue to work hard to keep making causes.
