farewell, Erica (cat)

Erica, the old cat, the cat Jane L. left with me when she moved out (1993?), has died. I found her by the front door this morning when I went to check the mail. I guess anniemal has not noticed. She's had a long and full life, and she's been in a decline for the last year or so, and this last week she wasn't eating much, so it's not unexpected. She was up and about, but not terribly spry, when I left for NC Saturday afternoon. I didn't see her when I got home last night, so she may have died while I was gone.
Jane named her "Scarlett", but Andrea didn't like that name. She became "Erica the Red".
