Apparently, the Persians had debt-slavery for a while, but it was abolished under the Achaemenides, one of which is my story-King. Oops! My hero’s best friend cannot have been sold to the palace for debt slavery!

Once upon a time, a bunch of fictional people walked into a science lab, where there were experiments on regrowing starfish arms and lizard tails.

What did they see in the lab?  Walls covered in cabinets?  Tables covered in weird experimetns?  I have so little clue, I can't even ask google.

Finding someone else to ask...

I wish I had some friends. I think I’ll just make them up and tell stories about them. I’ll make my friends such good, bad and/or weird characters, that total strangers will pay money to read my stories. But how?

I think the 'last' is a mirage - it keeps moving.  However,I think this one will really be the last last last, and clock in at less than 3K words.  Everything is set up for riding into the sunset - except for horsies :)
