Starting a Writing Class...
I haven't taken an online class, ever. This will be my first time.
Let's see how it works out.
Since this was an intro, I’m assuming I’ll see an overview of things I already know - and that’s about what I got. It was still interesting, though. If you can answer the ‘quiz’ at the end of the segment before the segments starts, do you get extra credit? LOL
INTRO
You need something to shake up the world, a struggle to achieve the goal, a near failure, and finally success.
Archplot - the hero fights for object of desire, struggles toward his/her goal. First s/he will be defeated by conflict, and then will overcome.
You need an emotional hook, a hold, and a payoff.
Who is your main character; what does MC want? Why?
Which comes first, character or plot? Either.
