Well they weren't able to finish the floor today. :-( We had to go to Lowes to get some things before we could even start the floor- a tile cutter most importantly, and mortar.  The mortar I already had had hardened from all the moisture in the basement. :-(   Oh well, it's probably 1/3 of the way done. Well, I thought I would have a floor today but no such luck. And I am happy about it.  The laminate floor I bought from a friend won't snap together like it is supposed to and we would have to shave the edges and then nail them down so we won't get a gap between each board.  I was considering buying another laminate floor that I saw on clearance at ( Read more... )

So my kitchen has been "under construction" for over a year.  It may actually get done in the next week.  The ceiling just needs a coat of texture and the ceiling fans need to be put up.  The ones I have now are old, nasty and not nearly big enough for my kitchen. My day is so not going to be what I want it to be. I now have to go to Knoxville, well I already had to go to Knoxville to pick up my car, but that could have been at my own pace either today or tomorrow whenever.

Oh good Lord! I took all four children out with me this afternoon. I dragged them all over Jeff City. *sigh* They killed me.
