kitchen
So my kitchen has been "under construction" for over a year. It may actually get done in the next week. The ceiling just needs a coat of texture and the ceiling fans need to be put up. The ones I have now are old, nasty and not nearly big enough for my kitchen. So I got 2 new ceiling fans- bigger than I have now, for $30 each. They will probably go up tomorrow.
Today we brought the cabinets in the living room so we can close off the door to the bedroom and lay the floor. That should be done tomorrow.
Monday I am going to look at counter tops and possibly a new cabinet. We are re-arranging the layout of the kitchen. The cabinets along one wall will be split up and one will go across the kitchen where the refrigerator is supposed to go- 30". We will lose a 12" cabinet and the 48" cabinet will stay next to the stove- that is the one I might replace with a smaller cabinet. I am afraid the way the fridge opens that it will be too close to the doorway into the living room.
I am so excited. After all this time it is finally coming close to being done!
I still have to choose colors- well we had but I can't find the color chips we had chosen so we are back to the begining on that one. Anything but the blue and yellow.
I am also trying to figure out some other, minor details, soon though. So soon I can almost taste it!
