Ok, so I have been cleaning and purging a little at a time. Today I worked in the kitchen and got 3 drawers emptied, washed out, and items removed to purge. Right now I am waiting for things to dry so I can put them away. Washed the bottom half of the fridge. I still have to wash lots of little utensils and whittle them down. Updates galore.

LOVE the tile.  It looks wonderful.  I am so glad we did it!  I don't think I would like it as well if it wasn't in the diamond pattern.  But it is so I do.

We removed the paint (previous owners painted) from the original cabinet handles and polished them.  They turned out beautifully!  The copper handles really look good on the brown ( Read more... )

Well they weren't able to finish the floor today. :-( We had to go to Lowes to get some things before we could even start the floor- a tile cutter most importantly, and mortar.  The mortar I already had had hardened from all the moisture in the basement. :-(   Oh well, it's probably 1/3 of the way done.
