"I wonder if you dream about them too"

Jan 11, 2008 23:20

Ugh. This morning, I woke up and turned my head to the clock...8 o'clock. >.< Needless to say, my brother and I were late to first period today. Whatever... the concert was quite worth it, though. Thankfully, we weren't doing much in Physics today, so I missed basically nothing. ^^ I was tired today too. I don't care. Concert = amazingness!

I'm really fed up with the way that my school chums perceive me. It seems like the only use I am to that collection of people is the occasional witty remark and dry humor. Don't even dare bring up music, or I'll have to dance around the fact that if I state my real opinion, I'll insult your taste. Can you tell I we all went to a friend's house today? We did, however, see Hitchcock's "The Trouble with Harry" and "Murder by Death". They were both good, lol. ^^

The best idea in a long time, but will never be utilized: asking your friends why they chose what they're wearing and what significance it has. I think it's important that we aren't flippantly using certain social statements that our clothes make. Also, there are so many historical influences that we really should take time and appreciate where it came from. I think I will bring it up to my friend who's going to study fashion design. She'll be the only one who could actually explain what she's wearing. Plus, it seems like I put a lot of wasted thought into what I wear because I don't get to share the reasonings behind it.

...I'm really tired. Maybe that's why I'm being a touch negative.

Ah, well, I did end up submitting my FAFSA for college financial aid today. There's little chance I'll get anything, but you never know. Silly issues of silver spoons and whatnot.

I might end up going homecoming dress shopping tomorrow. Yes, homecoming. Our private school doesn't have football, so we have to go by the basketball season. Yeah, it's weird, but whatever. Homecoming dresses are, for the most part, generally bland and tasteless. Ugh, I need to find a winner! It's my yearly chance to wear a gown and I'm not one to spoil such an occasion. Oh, and yet again, I'm going on my own to homecoming. It's quite hilarious to see girls off giggling to one another about who they're going with, and the social tension is just magnificent to liven things up for a change, but we're all just going there and talking to the same friends. The theme, though, is masquerade, so it should be a bit more interesting. I might end up making a mask or attaching sequins to my eyes in the shape of a mask. Either way, home made is always the best.

*tired* By the way, I've had Entrance and Mariee Sioux on the brain all day. it's brilliant. ^^
