When I was an undergrad at UCLA, I heard the graduate-level classes were actually easier than the upper-div undergrad classes. There wasn't really homework, grading was lenient, and the professor just wanted to read and discuss important issues. I think my Privacy class fit that model pretty well. At orientation at CMU today, someone asked me about my thoughts on Bing since I'm in Very-Large Information Systems. I said that I personally think Google is better for most searches, but Bing is designed slightly different as a decision engine (it is optimized for tasks that require multiple search queries as opposed to one-and-done search tasks) ( Read more... )
