It doesn't look like much, but it's tasty. With the sour cream, I suppose it's actually a bit more like stroganoff.
Goulash
Ingredients:
1 lb. veggie ground round (I used the
Morningstar Farms Meal Starters Recipe Crumbles this time)
1 large onion, chopped (it's a lot of onion, but I think it's important to this dish)
1 clove garlic
2 T. flour
1 3-oz can sliced mushrooms (I left these out this time because my boyfriend's allergic)
1/2 C chopped celery (I generally leave this out as I don't much like celery)
1 C sour cream (I used the light kind and it worked fine)
1 8-oz can tomato sauce
1 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
macaroni, cooked (I used wheat penne this time around)
Cook onion in a bit of olive oil until translucent. Add veggie ground round and garlic. Once the veggie ground round is cooked, stir in the flour. Add remaining ingredients; mix thoroughly. Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes. Serve on top of pasta.
