I was in Kenosha, Wisconsin yesterday (more on that hopefully not too much later). Weather forecasts promised rain and possibly some near tornado level winds - which, in the classic Chicago area fashion, meant intense bursts of rain, followed by sun, followed by cloudy weather, followed by quieter rain, etc ( Read more... )

For the past few days, Chicago weather forecasters public officials have been issuing increasingly dire warnings about the Arctic winds that are scheduled to hit our fairly Windy Windy city on Wednesday. Last night, Chicagoland was hit by a rainfall that, somewhere along the way, turned into a snowfall. In the city, at least, it didn't look that heavy, but I guess the suburbs got it worse. So it's only fitting that Metra put out a video showing how it was making sure its commuter trains were still running during snowy weather.
