Illinois Residents Flock To Indiana Beaches
You know how, back on Saturday, I wondered whether Chicago area residents were going to flock to Indiana Dunes beaches during the Memorial Day weekend? The CBS2 Chicago news report I saw last night suggests that the answer is yes.
The Times of Northwest Indiana reported that there were some decent-sized crowds on Saturday and Sunday as well. For those not from the area, bear in mind that the weather in Chicagoland was all over the place on Saturday, rain and cloud cover wise. While Michigan City is far enough from Chicago that the weather can be drastically different over there, most of the Dunes tend have the weather closer to Chicago's. So I don't know if the weather was sunnier at the Dunes, or if the people were that desperate for a swim.
