I was thinking about some temporary skin decoration - mainly for Teslacon.
I decided to try a filigree rubber stamp at Hobby Lobby, and a copper ink pad. 
Did a test stamping last night...it needs a good few minutes to set up - don't touch until then or it will smudge.
But, if it does smudge, it comes of with just water and you can re-do.

So I'm thinking of getting a couple of steampunk themed tattoos on my hip bones.  Anyone have any suggestions for a matching pair type?  Nothing too big, maybe a few inches in size at the most.

So, this isn't strictly related to steampunk, my apologies, but I think it's still relevant to our interests.  One, I'm trying to gather a wide range of opinions on the matter: fantasy costume people, steampunk people, heavily modified, people who like historical costumes but don't make them, and maybe other actual historical costumers if I can get ( Read more... )

Hey guys, over the last month I've been working on a tattoo on my upper arm.  It features two steam-powered mechanical birds (wrens) frolicking around a workshop.  Not *quite* finished yet, but it's close enough to start showing off  :)

I finally finished my tattoo, getting the centerpiece done yesterday, so now time to share it. This is the result of nearly a year of work, from concept art starting last year in June, to various stages of done-ness up until yesterday.
