1) I got a call from my doctor saying he wants me to go to a well renowned heart hospital in the area and see the electrophysiologist there. I know I saw one in the hospital but all he did was implant the loop recorder. So, I've had the thing for less than a month and I guess it's showing some stuff. My appointment is Friday.

I was recently invited by my friend to go to The Melting Pot for their Doll Up - Girls Night Out event. When I think of dolled up, I think vintage/retro. Not having either of those things in my wardrobe, I bought an adorable dress (Pull Up A Cherry) from Modcloth. I also bought a top (Nautical Navigator), and a pair of kitty heels. So, I made a thing today. While waiting to finish up my big sewing project, I thought I would do a couple of small ones. First up is the Brigitte scarf from Tilly Walnes, aka Tilly and the Buttons. It was really easy, and I can tie the scarf whichever way I want.

My dress turned out to be a bit of a disaster, so I scrapped it. I made a boo boo while cutting the circle skirt using the good fabric. I was only supposed to have two pieces, yet I ended up with three. I tried to save the skirt by stitching three panels together, but it resulted in the skirt being too small in the waist ( Read more... )

All of this anxiety and negativity needs to go. Keeping busy is a good way to deal with it. I remembered that I purchased some fabric and a dress pattern a few months ago, but I put it on the backburner because I moved my sewing bin downstairs and forgot about my project.
