Barenaked Ladies--the first band ever on VH1's Guerilla Concerts. They played an unannounced two song set (One Week and It's All Been Done) at the Syracuse University Student Center (I've been there!), and it rocked! Totaly acoustic, which was cool. I went and saw Madame Butterfly with Helen tonight, and the soprano lead was absolutely amazing. I was absolutely blown away. Her tone was very clear, but there was a lot of power behind it. It's also really unusual for me to like an opera the first time through, and I loved this ( Read more... )

Short review of the Great Big Sea concert before I go do all the homework I ignored to go see them. The energy was incredibly high--they were really rocking! Then, they did General Taylor, and it totally blew me away. It was really amazing! That's really the best I can say about it--incredibly high energy, very fun, but with real musicality.
