We got an apartment! We haven't signed the lease yet, but we've got a security deposit in and the guy said it was ours! So...cool! It's a nice place. It's on Craig and Henry, which is before Fifth, so that's probably a seven minute walk, at most, and it's nice and level. It's also close to Oakland, and Craig is a great street to live on. My computer stuff came! Huzzah!

Well, I'm a little bit of an idiot. I left the adapter for my laptop at home, so when the battery runs out, I'm computerless--until I get the adapter in the mail, which will hopefully be soon. So, for those of you who haven't spoken to me all week, just give me a few more days and I'll be back :)

There's something incredibly unfair about watching the guy on Good Eats make various things with puff pastries and stuff he finds in his refridgerator while I'm stuck eating Pizza Outlet pizza and Mountain Dew. I think I'm going to be sick ( Read more... )

I went and saw Madame Butterfly with Helen tonight, and the soprano lead was absolutely amazing. I was absolutely blown away. Her tone was very clear, but there was a lot of power behind it. It's also really unusual for me to like an opera the first time through, and I loved this ( Read more... )

I just wanted everyone to know that I rolled in tonight at 5 AM and I'm just going to bed at 5:30. That means I should wake up around 3 tomorrow afternoon, I'll eat around 4, go to the recital at 5, then come back here and do homework all night. Ah, college...

There was a package for me today from my grandparents. I was pretty excited, because normally if they feel like they owe me a gift, I get a check or something, but they've been in Australia, so I figured I'd get something cool. Inside the box...a pair of moccasins. O...k...

I found my credit card! It was on the floor at the end of my bed, rather than buried under the CDs and papers on my desk where I expected it to be. Regardless...hooray! Now I can withdraw cash rather than having to wander around totally broke.
