hmmm. well, bells was cancelled this morning, meaning i didn't leave the house until 11:15 for Howard. our dress rehearsal sucked, but the concert was okay. i've been having a major problem hitting high E's. everything else is cool, just E's. it sucks. but alas 3 more days, and only evals in band, along with me tearing down folders. *insert ( Read more... )

Today i have learned:

• i am incapable of keeping a steady beat. practiced for an hour. metronomes are not my friends. i refuse to believe that 60 beats is that fast. i fingered and sizzled through it at work, so over all, i practiced two hours today. whew.

Fun times this weekend. and i survived. saturday was weirdness. i just felt out of place all day, and then at the game, i got into it and had a great time at the game. it was nice to see jess, aaron, krystle, and odie. plus walter didn't ignore me this game. :)

Found out concert season tryouts today. Oct 31 & Nov 1. i hate those. tomorrow i'm going to beg walter to help me.

i'm so ready for November 2. I'm going to sit in my chair and watch tv all afternoon. i actually got caught up on the news today (meaning read CNN.com, Foxnews.com, the NY Times, and watched Shep) and that felt wonderful.

Soo... Tulane game was at "the joe" last night.. and on the real ESPN. there was like 100 ppl there besides the band. at the end of the game that was about 20.  eh. it was fun

• had great parking (because there was NO ONE there)
• got two free t-shirts

This weekend... sucked.

Bad things

• it was freaking cold during Saturday morning practice. with the winds whipping, i bet my boots that it was in the 30s. plus, i was only wearing my polo, khakis, and my fingerless gloves.
• my back has been hurting since friday night. aleve can't kick it either.
