Silks in fashionable RTW?
Stumbled on Saks Fifth Avenue online and their offerings of "plus sized" clothing. Besides the silk doctor's gown mentioned in another blog, I found this interesting evening wear, which I actually like for the skirt because it is long and has nice gores for extra flair.
But is it sad that at $250 for just the taffeta skirt... that it, too, is a poly/nylon/spandex blend, and not real silk taffeta? So... how much DOES one have to pay for real silk taffeta clothing? Can you tell this is out of my league on fashion fabrics? And that I've become spoiled to the idea of silk fabrics (not to mention good wool, linen, etc) in my costumes, that I want it in my clothing, even for special occasions.
Ah, I see they do offer silks, just in other styles from cardigans (a blend with viscose) to a long dress a little to frilly for my taste.
