Pretty fabric
So, I am wandering through eBay, and I find this pretty fabric.
Does anyone know if this one might work for a later 16th century (1590s) gown? Or does it read as being too oriental?
The ideas I've been having for a nice 1590s gown, one or the other is fine, but I was told not to use spangles for the black and white one which defeats part of its appeal to me, so I am thinking of the first one I had fallen for, since theatrically it will not be as competitive on stage to the Queen's outfit. But I am more inclined to just make a nice outfit from nice brocade fabric, and not worry about the embroidery part as much. I can still do the b&w one for CostumeCon in a few years.
