Canvas attached on the main fabric.

Just a quick note before my brain turns to mush.

I finally decided to just baste the canvas to the main fabric material, nothing in between. Thankfully, the black silk thread pretty much disappeared into the brocade, and can only be seen in some of the dark gold/black background as little pricks. The backside shows how crazy the line was I followed, as I pretty much kept to the upper parts of the brocade lines. I did take photos, but am too tired to upload them now.

Sadly, now the bottom sags just a touch, although I may just take out the bastings there and let them separate for a bit before adjusting and binding. I figured out later that I need to put the canvas on the bottom, and smooth the linen over the canvas to get it to lay right, even tho I can't see the edge too well to pin the upper part, so it is a bit of a stab in the dark, sorta. Maybe if I put a lamp under my glass top table I can see the outline better. I will try that tomorrow when the kids are napping.

I now have to baste the rest of the canvas to the linen, which will be easier with white linen thread on white linen fabric. But that will wait for tomorrow when my brain has rested.
