I'm off to photograph the equestrian portion of the Southern Alberta Summer Games. It is currently thundering out, but is apparently supposed to be 42C later today. *melts* I plan to be the scantily dressed photographer. :D

So yesterday, Canada Day, there was a flash flood here... 45mm (almost 2 inches) of rain in about an hour and a half. A local state of emergency was declared, the Canada Day festivities (including fireworks) were canceled, roads and parks were closed, and we weren't supposed to use any water to reduce the strain on the already backed up drains. My weekend was too short! But overall, it was a success. I got in to the Crowsnest Pass from Canmore at 12:30am, slept, got up, drove back to Lethbridge, went straight in to work, did my shift, went straight out to a photoshoot, and then went storm chasing. I could see lightning in the distance as I drove home, and followed it out to the west ( Read more... )

• I saw the electronica DJ Benny Benassi a few weeks ago, and it was wicked.
• I went to my first country concert a few weeks ago (Aaron Pritchett), and he's not as good live as on CD.

I've got to catch up on posting before I get any further behind, but I can't ramble on too much, as my new bedtime is in half an hour due to starting my new job tomorrow.
