Well, I appear to have turned into a screaming Star Trek fan-girl again. My obsessions have always been cyclical. Don't get me wrong. I still know Wednesday Addams' middle name (Thursday) while I'm obsessing over the finer points of quidditch... but I only seem to have the time and energy to focus on one fandom at a time. Back in 2002 20th Century Fox greenlighted an animated series based on Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. The series was to be set during the tail end of season 1, but when Fox Kids (the show's planned home) shut down, they were unable to sell the show to another network. They're four episodes in to their third season, and I have to be honest, I'm not terribly impressed. They started off really strong with Shadowman 9: In the Cradle of Destiny. The Monarch, Dr. Mrs. The Monarch (as Dr. Girlfriend is now being credited) and 21 and 24 are probably my favorite group of characters, and I'm always a bit of a sucker ( Read more... )
