Apparently Amanda Palmer is starring in a Boston production of Cabaret. My initial reaction to this was total and complete horror. I went to go see They Might Be Giants with a ton of people last night.

Jonathan Coulton was their opener and--as I fully expected based on previous concerts--put on a great show. My single complaint about his set is how very short it was. Just six songs! I know he was the opening act... but he's a pretty big name in his own right these days ( Read more... )

Saturday night a bunch of us headed out to Charlottesville to see Ego Likeness and Bella Morte play. The opening band was a local duo called Tacit Act with a heavy VNV Nation influence. Seriously. I didn't fully get the excitement about this movie until I saw this trailer.

I missed the showing at luguvalium and quietdeath's place tonight, but I suspect I can talk them into a repeat event, and if not there's always Wicked Faire. Have I mentioned that they'll be showing this at Wicked Faire?
