The winter storm that is now heading toward the East Coast blew through us yesterday. It was definitely very, very WINDY and full of snow. So, it was the perfect day to take a trolley to the North Pole to see Santa. D was very excited about this until she actually saw Santa and then she was very scared. Our guinea pig adoption application has been approved and we will be going this Sunday to the Critter Corral Open House. I'm pondering if I need to have cage, water, and food available prior to the Open House. Also, pondering if we can not use shavings and line the bottom of the cage with towels instead ( Read more... )

We have put in an application to adopt a guinea pig (or two) from the Critter Corral. Hill is reconsidering his stance he needs to visit Bucky Nibbles every day (even if he had his own pig). In particular, we have asked about Kiefer who I think looks a lot like Bucky Nibbles.

Our application has not yet been approved.

On Saturday, I took Hill (and D) to see Stage Door so he could determine if he wanted to participate in the next level of CAST. He was bored by intermission and we left. Hill is being moved into the Longfellow G/T Program. I guess he has finally caught up enough to be considered for advanced work. He is being moved to more advanced reading and I hope they move him in math too as he currently complains that math is too dull and boring. So, I had a birthday a few days back. Despite hormonal issues that made me feel like crap, it was a fairly good birthday. We went to another Brazillian steakhouse and ate a lot of dead cow.
