Well this past week I received my annual report card for my section of the Benton MacKaye Trail (section 5d).
Looks like I will have to do some blaze marks this summer.

 Ol Mad Max has a new windshield.  Around Christmas of 2007 was when we first noticed the crack.  It started just above the steering column and migrated overa a period of about 3 years up and to the right until it was just in front of the passenger seat.  Then earlier this winter, around Christmas time, it made a hard jump and went up all the way ( Read more... )

Over the last year or so, Jan and I have been collecting Coke tops.  From a local restaurant, we can usually get about 50 to 100 points every weekend.  We go to the website and log the points in and redeem them for neat little odds and ends every now and then ( Read more... )

I thought I would never see it again, but sure enough, there on the corner, at the Sunoco station:  Gas for under $2 per gallon.

Threaten to start drilling and develop alternative fuels and the Arabs increase oil production and the prices go down.
