A quiet day.
Not a lot to report these days. The final negotiations for the work I am supposed to do for EF&I have progressed into the final stage. They asked me to take a urine test for the security clearance. If all goes well, I will begin work probably the second week of August. Most likely I will be there at least a year, with no expiration or termination date. I am not all that thrilled with working downtown, but once things get settled in, I should be able to find some less expensive lodgings somewhere to minimize commuting times.
I wanted to go to the wannago today but felt the ol pee-in-the-cup test probably had a higher priority. That plus Jan's schedule just didn't allow for it.
I spent about an hour chatting online with Vedran today. He is doing quite well. He was one of the better room mates I had in college. Being a Croatian, he was full of cultural surprises. I will never forget the morning I woke up to find him urinating in the sink because he was too lazy to walk to the end of the hall where the bathroom was. LOL And that was just one of the tamer things he did.
