This was one of the few caveats.

Today, I bought a USB-to-Ethernet adapter (called "SR9600" - a no-brand adapter that can use 98SE) for my old Slimnote VX (now installed with Windows 98SE), and as soon as I came home I plugged it, along with a spare CAT5 cable, and installed the drivers. Given that there's so much praise for Windows 7 (because of real performance), I think I'll skip Vista SP1 (man, they'll be coasters in the near future hahahaha!) and instead pick up Win7 UltimateAnd in the grand tradition of XP, and considering that my favorite online game can work in Win7 with a little tweak of Gameguard without being nagged by ( Read more... )

Man, I admit that Vista would be only good for those living in North America, where it seems that most guys (especially hardware hardcases) there have machines packed up to 2GB of memory, more than 3Ghz of CPU speed and half a terabyte of hard disk storage.
