The presidential debate tonight, that is. I'm going to try to watch it. I'll probably have to clean the cat boxes early, and I'll miss part of it because my Cindy Lou Who's bedtime is about half an hour into it, but I don't know that I'll want to watch the whole thing anyway.

We did this one a long time ago, and since it's been way too quiet around here lately, I think we should do it again.

Take a line from any movie and replace one word with "cake." Like so:

I'm now a "staff accountant."

My old title was "technical assistant," which no one outside of our old firm ever used. Essentially, I am a bookkeeper. That's what I do. I keep books. The new firm doesn't apparently have bookkeepers. All the stuff I do is done by people with bachelor's degrees. Except they probably don't do as much actual ( Read more... )

the_original1 and I went to see Sauk Valley Community College's production of Lysistrata on Saturday night. They used Edward Einhorn's translation/adaptation, which isn't quite the same as what I read!
